2/25/04 Last day of classes for the week. Nice long weekend ahead to go skiing and bobsledding down the Olympic track. More pictures will be added soon, I promise!
2/27/04 More pictures and updates made today. Went sking yesterday and was alot of fun, the views were amazing. Got some research to do for a paper this weekend, other than that not much homework. Have a great weekend everyone!
3/1/04 We have a very busy week of class. Everyday from 8:30 until 3 except 1 hour for lunch. I guess it makes up for the 30 days of traveling we do starting at the end of March. Have a good week everyone, and have a blast on Spring Break. Daytona:The Encore is going to be insane!
3/5/04 Finally done with the busy week from class. Took our filed trip to the Forestry Museum yesterday, pretty cool. Going to see some World Cup Downhill Skiing action this weeked! I added more pictures today, so everyone check them out. Have a great weekend yall!
3/10/04 The World Cup Downhill was alot of fun. Darrin Rahlves from the US took 4th in Downhill and 1st in Super G. We had a huge American flag that we waved when he was skiing. Maybe we made tv back at home? Had fun with all our friends in the party tent after the race, listening to a good cover band. Today we went cross country skiing for our Norwegian class. What a way to get a good grade...just show up and go skiing and then get to roast hot dogs over a fire! Almost a month and a half in now, still having a blast!
3/13/04 Got to see the World Cup Ski Jumping competition last night, was really cool. Spending my weekend reading a book for one class, and writing my 10 page religion paper. I guess its the first weekend where I have actually had to work hard to get stuff done, haha! We have our religion final next week then we are done. All our fun traveling starts soon after that. Hope all Luther people have great Spring Breaks, especially my boys in Daytona: The Encore!
3/22/04 We are finished with our religion class. So now we only have art, norwegian, and global perspectives. We start traveling this weekend to Oslo and Copenhagen, not sure exactly on what days. I am really starting to miss everyone at home, and hanging out with all of you (friends and family). It will be hard to leave here because it is so much fun and such a relaxed culture, but it will be really nice to go home for the summer!
3/30/04 Had a great trip to Oslo and Copenhagen. Got to see many museums, palaces, castles, and much more. Walked for many hours everyday but saw alot of both cities. "Adrian and Jo's Day of Fun" was great. Walked around for 8 hours and got on a British Aircraft Carrier. Back here for a couple days, then leave Sunday for London and Rome!
4/13/04 Spring Break was awesome. Spent a day in London to see all of the sites. Then were off to Milan, Italy for a day. Pretty cool city, but a day was enough to see what we wanted. Then we spent 3 days in Rome. It was so cool to see all the ancient ruins. The architecture and size of things just amazes me, thinking how they constructed them with so little technology to what we are used to. Got quite a few things to take care of this week, then we take off next week for 12 days in the Baltic including Sweden, Finland, Russia, and Estonia. 5 weeks left of our stay here in Norway, but I cant wait for the good times that will be had this summer!
5/3/04 Got back from a 13 day trip through the Baltic. We visited Sweden, Finland, Russia and Estonia. It was alot of fun. We got to see a Russian Opera and a Ballet, which to my surprise were quite good! My keys and student ID's were stolen from my bag while I was sleeping on our bus trip from Russia to Estonia by a kid sitting behind me. Good thing it wasn't things I really needed! Two weeks left here in Norway, heading home May 19th, can't wait for the summer!
